About / Chhayakaar

To photograph is
to pay attention.

Chhayakaar means “the image maker”—a name for a practice rooted in observation, collaboration and the craft of turning passing moments into lasting visual stories.

01 / Point of view

Considered, never overworked.

The strongest photographs feel inevitable, even when they take careful preparation. Chhayakaar balances structure with instinct: enough direction to create clarity, enough space for something real to happen.

The practice spans food and beverage, fashion, events, interiors and product commissions—each approached with the same respect for subject, context and final use. Assignments are available in Jaipur, Delhi, Udaipur and Jodhpur, with travel elsewhere by brief.

02 / Working principles

Listen first.

Every project begins with purpose, not a preset visual formula.

Make room.

Direction creates confidence; space creates honest moments.

Edit with intent.

A smaller, coherent body of work says more than excess coverage.
